Sour Cream Banana and Honey Face Pack – Today is shopping day so before I go shopping I always check to see what I have left in the fridge, what needs to be thrown away, and what fodds are still in date etc……

If you have dry skin then a Sour Cream Banana and Honey Face Pack is the perfect solution

So in my fridge I found some sour cream left over, not enough for another meal so I decided to make a face pack out of it.

Sour cream is great for dry skin a weekly sour cream mask will help lock in moisture and make your skin feel really soft, it’s a natural exfoliator. Sour cream contains Lactic acid is used in many beauty and skincare products, such as moisturizers, shampoos and soaps,  by using it in your own home treatments it will give your skin a real boost.

One word of warning lactic acid–is a type of alpha-hydroxy acid, this helps remove dead skin which helps to promote new skin cells, it also evens out skin tone and will help reduce the appearance of fine lines.  The alpha-hydroxy agents, can increase the skin’s sensitivity to sunlight, so make sure to use sunscreen when using sour cream in your beauty routine.

So to make this face pack you will need to make Sour Cream Banana and Honey Face Pack for dry skin

• A Bowl
• A fork for mixing
• 2 tablespoons of sour cream,
• half a banana
• one tablespoon of honey
• A soft Towel

So measure out your ingreadients and mask the banana and mix all the ingredients together to make a thick paste.

Apply a thick layer of this mixture to your face starting at your chin and use small circullar motion and apply all over the face. Leave it on for about 10 minutes and then wash off with warm water and pat your skin dry with a soft towel.

So what did I think and how did my skin feel after using a Sour Cream Banana and Honey Face Pack

Next time I make it I would use a blender to make sure there are no banana lumps in it as it was quite difficult to put on, but a part from that I was pleased with the results. As soon as you put it on it feels very soothing and afterwards my skin looked refreshed. There was loads left over so I have put it in the fridge and I will use it again in a couple of days.

Kiwi and Strawberry face pack it sounds good enough to eat and great for your skin

Strawberry and kiwi facial mask for all skin types.

The perfect combination. It sounds so good you might just want to eat it.

We all know that eating these fruits will help but using them them on the skin can also give are skin a healthy glow.

So What do we need to make a Kiwi and Strawberry face pack for all skin types?

• 5-6 Strawberries
• 1 kiwi fruit
• 1/2 a peeled cucumber
• 1 teaspoon of oatmeal(optional)
• A Soft Towel
• Food processer, blender
• A Bowl
• A Spoon

Get your strawberries and remove the green stalks and wash under the tap,  then cut the kiwi into 4 and finally peel a cucumber  and add all the ingredients to the food processor and blitz the ingredients together to form a paste.

If the paste seems to runny then you could also add a teaspoon of oatmeal. Scoop out the face pack into a bowl with a spoon (we don’t want to cut fingers on sharp blades).

Once this is done it’s time to put on the face pack (make sure your skin is clean)

Use you finger to scoop up the paste and apply it to your skin with small gentle circular movements from the chin upwards until all your face is covered but remember to keep the mixture away from your eyes.

You could always cut to rings of cucumber and place these on your eyes will you are waiting for your Kiwi and Strawberry face pack to do it’s magic.

Leave on for 5-10 minutes and rinse well with warm water. Pat your skin dry with a soft towel and use a moisturizer or  few drops of olive oil on your face.

You skin will feel clean and fresh.

So lets get started

So what do you need for your Kiwi Face Pack for all skin types ?

• 1 Kiwi fruit
• 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
• 1 tablespoon orange juice
• 1 tablespoon almond oil (or oilve oil)
• 1 cup mashed carrots
• 1 Blender (or use a fork)
• Soft Towel

Get all your ingredients together and add them to your blender and give it a whizz until you have a smooth paste, if you haven’t got a blender then put all the ingredients into a bowl and mash with a fork until you have a paste.

Apply to your face using small gental circular movements until your whole face is covered (remember to keep the paste away from your eyes)

Leave on for 15 minutes.

Rinse your face with cold water after 15 minutes and pat your face dry with a soft towel.

Either use your favourite moisturizer or a few drops of olive oil and have a look in the mirror and see how soft your skin looks and feels.

If you have any left over cover and put in the fridge and use it again in a couple of days.

So get a lemon, a knife, a bottle of spring water, some cotton wool balls and a bowl to start getting your skin in tip top shape.

The first thing you need to do is roll the lemon on your counter top, this will help to release more juice out of the lemon.

Once you have done this cut your lemon in half and add the juice to the spring water.

Drop the cotton wool ball into the mixture and apply it onto the infected part of your face that you want to treat using a dabbing motion, make sure to keep it away from the eyes. Any lemon wash you have left over cover and put it in the fridge.

If you skin starts to burn and is still burning after 10 minutes then rinse off, if not leave it on overnight. Use this twice a day morning and evening and watch your skin clean up in a couple of days.

A Banana and Honey Face pack great for giving your face a natural Glow

Ingredients you need for a Banana and Honey Face Pack

1/2 a Banana

1 Tablespoon Honey

1 Bowl

1 Fork

Bananas and honey are a great pick me up for your skin and if you have combination skin then this will really give your skin a lift. It’s a great skin brightner and tightner.

It’s so simple but very effective.

Mash your 1/2 a Banana with a fork and add 1 tablespoon of honey and mix well.

Smooth onto the skin either with your fingers or a soft facial brush. Strat applying from your chin upwards. If you are using your fingers apply with gental circular movements until your whole face is covered. Make sure not to go to neer your eyes.

Leave the Banana and Honey Face pack on for ten to fifteen minutes and rinse off with warm water. Pat your face dry with a soft towel and have a look in the mirror to see your face glow and feel how soft your skin is after you have used this face pack.

So what did I really think of the Honey Yogurt and Olive Oil face mask?

Today I thought I would give my face a treat and made a Honey Yogurt and Olive Oil face mask for me and my daughter to try.

All you need is a teaspoon of honey, a teaspoon of yogurt and 1/2 a teaspoon of olive oil mix it up and put it on your face for 15 minutes and then rinse off. I doubled the amount because there where two of us so I have loads left over so I’ve put it in the fridge and will use it again in couple of days.
This face mask is suitable for any type of skin and I have to say it made my skin feel great. It feels clean and fresh and it looks a lot brighter too. I should have taken a before and after picture maybe I will do that next time.

My daughter also liked it. I would recommend putting your hair back off your face as the mixture is quite sticky.

Over the next couple of weeks I will be trying out all sorts of different face masks and I will report whether they are good or bad.

I have older skin so I might get my daughter and her friends to try some fask mask recipes as well.
